Twitter Boosts Search Results For Cashtags

Posted by

Twitter is updating the user experience for cashtags, showing rates graphs when users click on the sign of a major stock, ETF, or cryptocurrency.

Adding a dollar check in front of a stock or currency symbol, like $AAPL, develops a clickable cashtag.

Previously, clicking on a cashtag would take you to a basic set of search engine result featuring popular tweets.

If you wanted to discover the present value of the stock or currency, you had to visit another site to get the details.

Now, you can get the information you’re searching for instantly with updated search results for cashtags.

In addition to clicking on cashtags, you can trigger the brand-new search experience by searching for the signs with or without the dollar indication.

Twitter says it’s rolling out this feature with the major signs initially, and will broaden its coverage of signs in the coming weeks.
